Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2nd 1984) is an American actor. Most famously, she is Molly Solverson from the FX television series Fargo in the first season. Tolman has won nominations for Emmys and Golden Globes. The early years of her life and schooling Tolman was the older of two brothers and a younger sister. Her family relocated to England at the age of few months old and stayed until she was 4 years old. Based on the 1996 Coen brothers film of the same title, Fargo starred veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman and Bob Odenkirk. Tolman won praise for her portrayal as Minnesota Police Officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair said it was clear that Tolman, "calmly" and "assuredly" took over the show. Tolman was awarded an Critics' Choice Television Award in the category of Best Supporting Actress in Movies/Miniseries. In addition she was nominated in the category of Best Actress were received at the Emmy Awards as well as the Golden Globes.
